Right now my wife and I are waiting to close on a home using the USDA home loan.
The issue we are having is waiting on my past tax transcripts to be updated by the IRS.
For the year 2012, and part of 2013 I was out of the country on a service mission. I made no income that year, however the USDA made me file anyhow for zero income.
In addition for the year 2013, because I never filed for 2013 even though I worked. (Not smart on my part here).
I do have a return coming back for the year of 2013.
But for the year 2012 I would have nothing because I had no income.
I could not file electronically because the IRS does not accept electronically filed taxes past a certain date.
I mailed them in on November 14th and we close on the home on January 2nd.
My mortgage comapny still cannot access my transcripts.
Any idea how long it could take at this point for my 2012 & 2013 transcripts to be accesible? Any alternatives?
