Want to have lender do a credit pull to see where I stand

Do you think it is ok to have a lender run my scores and assess exactly where I stand according to their standards? I'm thinking I may or may not be borderline, but if I can see exactly what they want, I can go from there. Just don't want my score to be hurt from the pull. If it is 2 or 3 points, I wouldn't mind, as I'm aggressively paying down my utilization, which is currently around 70%. Plan on buying a house in the next few months. Thanks!

I would wait until you get some cards paid down and at least one of your scores hits above the 620 mark.  620 is about the minimum anyone is taking these days.

Thanks for the advice. I know that it's sound, but I'm itching just to know. Isn't it possible for lender to come up w/different scores then what we get? I guess I can just keep checking my Fico until I get my utilization down some.

Yes, the lender may pull different scores, but if you do it now, you are just going to have to pay to have the scores pulled again later and take the risk of further FICO hits for the inquiries.

The scores I Pulled from here and the scores USDA pulled were exactly the same. I was approved with a 619 mid score.

No, it was USDA direct which is completely different than conventional, I was just commenting on how accurate "myfico" was in my situation.

Most folks are reporting exact matches on the Equifax score we get and what the lender shows.  Transunion is iffy since we have such an old version ('98) and many lenders have now switched to '04.  Best to wait until at least one of your scores is 620, preferably both.  Out of curiosity, where was EX in the line up in December?  Was it the lowest at that point or middle or highest?  Congrats on working on the CC debt.

My lender used TU04 which made my TU score 35 points lower than MyFico.  My Equifax was exact and my Experian was the highest out of the 3.
