We closed yesterday! Can we buy a used car now?

THANK YOU everyone for your constructive advice since we were aggressively strengtening our credit!  We have closed yesterday and our loan will be funded today. We are hoping to trade in our car and buy a new car.  When should we do it?

I applied for new car loan the next day and got approved for $35K.  But, I'm still on the fense if I want a car note.  I like all the extra money am saving.   But , yes you can apply for whatever you want.

I was just curious whether our Credit Scores will dramatically drop due to the new mortgage application?  Do we need only 740 to secure the best auto loan rate?
