Keep your head up OP!!! Just plow ahead and work to put yourself in the best position. It will definitely pay off in the long run.

I know it's a personal decision, but if credit score is only reason your boyfriend is not applying with you, I recommend working on his scores. It may not be as big of a hurdle as you think.
