Dear Board,
My wife and I have a NET monthly income of $7000.00 and the only thing we owe is about $5600 on a credit card (which will be paid off in March 09)---we have no other debt.
My Fico is 698, hers is over 700.
We recently paid off a tax lien from 1998 ($53,000) and it is still showing as active (only on Equifax), although we have a certified copy of the release.
Do you think we would qualify for a mortgage of $230,000 (hoping to put 3.5% down) leaving us to finance about $223,000?
