Old thread but I was very bummed out today. TU 98 vs 04. Any update when we can buy 04 scores?
MyFico.com pulled 6/14:
EQ 616
TU 635
EX ??
Lender pull 6/14:
EQ 616
TU 618
EX 630
No USDA loan for me!

No update yet. Unfortunately, it's essentially up to TU to decide whether to offer the 04 score to consumers.

I know this is an old thread, but my experience was the same.
myFICO TU - 614
Lender TU - 579
Wells Fargo is currently taking 600 and above for USDA and FHA. This literally killed my application for now. does anyone know what TU FICO 04 is most greatly effected by? I'm going to pay-off the most current delinquent credit card and hope for the best. I have three bad debts. The others are over two years old.

That hurts my heart to read.
Starting Score: TU:650 - EQ: 67202-23-2012 02:47 PM
As of today, my TU98 is 638 from here and my lender just pulled a TU04 of 612.

On 2//7/12, a loan officer told us that my husband's TU 04 fico was 647. We pulled it from this website on the same day and the TU 98 fico was 676. A difference of 29 points.

So I guess there is no point purchasing a TU score from this site? Does anyone know where we can purchase one? I bet if everyone stopped paying for the TU report, myfico would get us the correct one.
This is my thoughts exactly. Plus it is $20 now to do a pull. My opinion is that the TU98 score on here is just as much a FAKO as Credit Karma. You may as well use CK for free for just as helpful of a score as the TU98.

That's probably not too far off if the lender is using TU04. My understanding though is that there are some out there that are still using TU98, so it's not completely worthless.
