We have finally come down to trying to close after weeks of getting it postponed. Our original title co was United Title of Texas and they closed doors the day we were gonna close. Our seller has a lien showing on the house from a loan he got in 93 but paid off but it was never updated to reflect it. He got paperwork sent to original title co but we can't get that paper transferred to new title co so now they pulled sellers credit and got proof it was paid. Now they want us to sign paper saying we know it shows lien but it's paid..What should we do.
