I have read that disputes that are less than $500 and over 2 years old don't necessarily have to be removed.
I may have misunderstood, but I have a $105 medical collection from August 2010 with a dispute comment. It is only listed on one credit report and that happens to be my low score.
Will I need to get this removed or can I slide by if this is it? It took Equifax a while to remove a dispute comment on a prior account and I don't want to hold me preapproval up another month...
It's a YMMV by lender I believe. I recall having to sign FHA docs certifying that I didn't have any dispute comments, but I had a 6 yo TL that I kept GWing over and over and each time they added a dispute comment. The lender acknowledged it and let it slide.
