For those of you with appraisal price issues... I work for an appraisal firm. Around here $350 is typical of a very standard residential appraisal. We only charge more when someone is very odd or difficult to research. But I believe mortgage brokers choose who they give the appraisal work to. I don't htink its like when a large bank gets an appraisal and they send out RFPs.
