my fico scores are 538 558 607 is this good enough to try and get a va home loan

Hi!  I am BY NO MEANS an expert, but from what I understand (we're going VA next spring for our first home) VA loans are not credit score driven. The lender you work with is who you would have to work on impressing with your score. I know that Chase has it at 620, BoA has theirs at 580 as does Countrywide. Of course, this is information given to me by the banks over the phone when I asked specifically about VA loans/scores and YMMV.

Depends on the reasons why the scores are low.
Scores are only a part of the equation
