how long does the title search take?

Another reason we didn't close on time is that the bank didn't request the title search until the 13th, which seems a bit late considering we were supposed to close on the 15th. How long should we expect this to take? Any ideas?

a couple of days on a rush. typical 3 - 5 days

ordering this late makes no sense.

I work for a title company and we usually quote a week, but if they ask for a rush we get the search done in a day.

my attorney did it in 2 days.

she forwarded the info to the bank - where they took a week to look it over, but once it was approved by the bank we were able to close a couple of days after.
