i have a preapproval and now a collection popped up

i have a pre approval and an offer on a house. About 1 week after approval a collection popped up from a cable bill that was from a home i lived at 2 yrs ago. My brother left the cable in my name and missed a payment that went to collections. It was around 300 and he paid it off. Im wondering how this will affect my loan if im going fha. My credit score is around 630 after the collection showed on the report. Thanks for any help

you need to be asking your loan officer....  the answer could vary by lender

ok thanks im hoping it wont matter because its paid and was only like 300.

shouldnt be an issue
