manual review ??

When someone does a Manual Review of your credit report - do they only see what we see?  Like the last 7 years (ish)?? Do they see things that you disputed that were removed?  Collections that dropped off?

I guess I just dont' understand what they see.......I'm trying to clean up as best I can before applying for a mortgage - I have disputed, paid, removed things, etc......but obviously that history is there somewhere- can they see it - or is it just a snapshot of what is currently reporting????   I'm down to only a couple of late payments (almost a year old) and a tax lien (making payments) to handle.....

Yes, they see what you see. Baddies stay for 7+ years and good tradelines remain for 10 years. Anything that's been removed they won't see. They will also see hard inquiries that aren't yet 2 years old.
