I disputed the "disputes" and they took nothing off! They just sent it to the companies and 3 of them disappeared from 2 of the 3 reports but it was because they didn't reply in time probably. They just verified the debt AGAIN and took none of the statements they (CRA) put on, off my report. I'm ticked!
What can I do to get those stupid statements off my report????
I called Experian yesterday and advised them that my "disputed" accounts were no longer disputed and asked that they remove the notation. It was completed in about 2 hours and I rec'd an email advising me of the update. I am also getting FHA loan and was asked to provide a letter of explanation for my 3 accounts. Experian was the only one that had these accounts noted as being in dispute.

I Fannie and Freddie started it and I think many FHA lenders have joined in as well. Better off to do your disputes well before applying for a mortgage and make sure all traces are removed by the time you apply.

And...better off to NOT dispute anything that is accurate. People have disputed "just to see" if something will get deleted, and...instead...they end up with the dispute comment and no mortgage.
