recieved a 1099-c for an unpaid credit card and need help.

I stopped paying about 3 years ago. They charged it off but it never went to collections.. it shows on credit report as $4000 charged off, $1200 past due. I just recieved a 1099-c from Bofa for the $4000....

It still show $1200 past due on my credit report.

My question is am I only responsible to pay back the $1200 now or am I on the hook for the full amount?

I just filed and paid taxes in the amount they 1099-c me.
