remove eroneous foreclosure quickly

my father is trying to buy a property and has always had good credit 720+. He owns 12 properties and only 2 small mortgages. he has pre approval for a new loan but a derogatory showing a foreclosure proceeding against an unknown property is now appearing on his credit and screwing up his deal. How can this be removed and how long will it take?

A rapid rescore can remove a genuine error provided you have documentation that it is incorrect. A letter from that company stating that it was an error will be the only thing that will work in a rescore situation.
