It's generally a good idea to wait 6 months to a year to paint in a new construction house anyway...though i suppose it's the laundry room, so who cares. lol

The great thing about it is that you guys can do whatever you want! If she wants to paint the laundry room, then go for it! That's the beauty of home ownership!

I wanted to paint the laundry room too.  My husband told me I was nuts too.  I wasn't interested in painting the house yet, until I figure out what I want, but the laundry room I figured it would be too difficult to move out the washer and drier so I wanted to do it before they were in there.  Be nice and let her do it! LOL My husband wouldn't let me!
