got the call this afternoon...approved by underwriting  with a few minor conditions to officially clear before going to USDA....

Congrats Ms.Thang38!!  I am also starting the USDA process as well...through a mortgage broker. He pulled my credit last week and I think he submitted to USDA this week. 

So, you went through the lender first?

Broker first...got a few conditions & then its on to usda next week...

We found house 2 weeks ago..nice ranch style house on half acre...1600 sq feet...

That is sooooo nice! We are getting it built; about 1600 sq ft as well. Trying to add a basement for more space.
