My wife and I are considering buying a home using the va loan. She is currently still active duty and bah where we live is $1400 a month. So with bah and her base pay she makes about 4500 a month. Our total monthly bills are 900 month. We are looking to purchase a home $220000 or less. Im using 6% of my overall credit usage with I have over 160,000 in credit and she is using 10% of her overall which is also around 150,000 overal credit. Both credit our credit scores are in the 700s. I have no negative except a almost 7 year tax lien paid off and she has 4 lates from 5 years ago. What are our chances of getting the house we want. I know our BAH will cover the mortgage easily.
