Got a letter asking me to enroll in the $2,000 no-cost coverage. Anyone sign up for this and why?

I got the same letter from my local CU (SF Fire CU). Not sure what 2k in coverage is going to do for your family.
The offered an additional 300k in coverage for some nominal amount, which might be reasonable. You'd have to compare to other providers.
