Before apple pay came out i used to use google wallet at CVS, but once it came out they nixed that :-( We shall see how long all the members of currentc will hold out for.

The problem is that they think they can come up with their own system that everyone will accept.  Once Apple got on board to make it more acceptable to people, they saw $$$s.

My question is how much more per transaction is contact-less as opposed to the current swipe fees.

It's not just the Americsn mindset but also that of banks and certain retailers and their attempts at creating alternatives that will be tied to your checking account.

"Tech and financial industries are hoping mobile payments will be the next big thing, but consumers really haven't seemed too interested so far.” Also, "The White House announced earlier this month that Apple Pay will join EMV chip-and-PIN as a standard for the roughly 9 million federal payment cards, including debit card accounts, used for distributing Social Security and veterans benefits."
