Re: Chase Private Client Invitation!

We are Chase Private Clients and also have Managed Accounts with J.P. Morgan. The perks being a CPC are nice.

Re: Chase Private Client Invitation!

You can get in with $100k but every year the system will go thru the accounts and if you don't have $250k, it will notify your CPC banker. It'll be up to your banker if he wants to make an exception or not. So be nice to your banker. And once you're in, you can take out all the money and you still get to be CPC. (No minimum requirement to keep account open, Until the system finds out in a year?)

Just sign up. The benefits are good.

What?!  You're telling me if I have ten friends and we each have 10 grand, and we really know each other, we can pool our money together, open up CPC, then have all access to any chase card, and just move the money until each person is signed up???  I don't think it is this easy or else more people would be doing it???

Re: Chase Private Client Invitation!

Jfriend, be careful with that plan. You and your friends might end up with gift tax liability (even if everyone is honest).

I'm a tax pro, but not your tax pro. Seek your own professional advice before acting, etc.

CPC sounds good, but I prefer brokerage bonuses of miles and cash!
Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Uhh gift tax exlusion is 14k for 2016, which means you don't have to worry about gift tax liability, nor do you have to file Form 709. If 10 people give jfriend 10k then he'll be fine. Enrolled Agent here.

Re: Chase Private Client Invitation!

Yes, these are bank and managed accounts, not credit cards.
