well ive been a member here for a few years, and myfico has helped me grow into good credit cards and large limits. Unfortunately dont have much self control and have landed myself in a large sum of debt. Utilization is 46%. Debt to income of 66%. I can still pay monthly bills for all balances. Discover fico of 649. No local banks will give me a debt consolidation loan due to not enough income or high dti ratio.
Anyone know of a credit counseling program or similar that has worked for them or ones that are not scams? Of course i want to help my score and not hurt it more than i already have. Im trying to use debit only or prepaid cards. I also own a business and have to keep my work truck that is not paid off. So chapter 7 is out and ch13 would still hurt bad. So i think id rather just try to suffer through paying it all off. Any suggestions are appreciated.
thanks

As a teen I had to go into CCCS to get myself through school. If you do use the service you need to watch them like a hawk just to ensure the payments are getting there on time.
I would advise you to look in the rebuilding forum and ask the same question there, you mat get more responses.
I really do wish you luck, tough spot to be in, I was there once. The process took a hit on my credit reports but at least I climbed out of debt.
