Discover checking

I think (not sure lol) I was approved for a discover secured card. If I am, does that mean I'm eligible to sign up for discover checking? I didn't know if you had to have unsecured version?

I am pretty sure you are eligible even if you do not have a card with them, but I may be wrong.
