Local Credit Unions vs NFCU

Aside from everyoe being in love with NFCU, what is the benifit of using them over your local credit union?

NFCU is local for me thankfully. Their customer service is always amazing

I guess it would depend on the offerings and benefits of your local credit union... unfortunately unless you get more specific, it's going to be hard to answer your question.

 

I'll just say that NFCU is known to be friendly to rebuilders (a not-so-small part of our community) and their customer service is said to be top-notch.  These are just a couple of the reasons they are so popular around here.  They also happen to be big - they're actually the world's largest CU - which makes them stand out in the crowd of smaller CUs.

For me, the mobile deposit, the app, and the web interface stand out.   My local CU has a web site from what seems to be 1980 Smiley Happy

What I like (LOVE) about my Navy FCU

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I like the APR.

 

I have 9.9%.

 

unfortunately, I always Pay in Full, so it is kind of useless at this point.
