Could someone PM me the email if possible...?
It's funny how Navy Federal never advertised or acknowledged this way to join. They merged with USA Federal in 2010. All the threads over the years since 2010 I've seen of people getting their membership revoked for not being eligible or lying their way in, Navy Federal revoked them and kick them out rather then tell them about this secret way of joining.
I joined Navy League San Diego on June 8 and immediately got the email saying I was approved and that "Your new membership card and Navy League pin are on their way!" And my card was successfully charged, and I joined Navy Federal CU that same day. Even if Navy League were to revoke my membership, my accounts should still be good at Navy Federal, right?

Thanks for the responses and I'm sorry that your application was rejected.
i am curious to see what thr Navy League does with our memberships and what NFCU does with the accounts.

I joined NLUS SD on the fifth, actually received two emails, and card was charged. I compared Pendfed and Navy, prefer Navy. But, have not had time to join. Hope my membership is still good, and that I can join Navy in a bit. I do not rush things (besides, it is worthwhile charity, all is not lost if I only stick with Alliant and BECU, with Alaska as honorable mention).
I joined NLUS on the fifth as well, and likewise received two emails and my card was charged. Has anyone gotten their membership card and Navy League pin yet? Just curious.
They said in one of my welcome emails from Navy Federal to send a check for the $5 share for the savings. Will transferring money from Paypal into the account work for that instead?
And does Navy Federal send you a signature card in the mail you need to sign & return? Some do and others signing up online and submitting the application counts as a signature card. With my USbank account it was done that way, whereas when I used to have a Wells Fargo checking I opened online, they sent a paper form I had to sign and send back. Penfed too sends a paper form to sign and mail back.
