I haven't been charged any fee as of yet but I would admit that being charged $5 for a replacement is pretty lame. If I do get charged its just $5 after all and I can live with it.

Wow!!!, They are beautiful, i'm going to have to request one tomorrow ..........i have the regular BOA Debit MC
Saw one in person and they are very nice looking
I got the $5 messge as well. They said i have to wait until my card is expired and then they will send one with the Chip. When does mine expire? 2018!!!!!! Thats becasue my previous debit card which was Alaska Airlines mileage earning was discontinued earlier this year. I'm not paying the $5 even though I travel internatinally a few times a year. Will stick with my CC i was given be another bank.
I would completely lose my checking account now that I have DCU and NASA But my only credit card older than 7 months is with them and i used them for foreign currency orders .
Maybe i shoudl just report it lost /stolen?

Did you make sure they aren't going to charge you? My understanding is that B of A has a $5 fee for an out-of-cycle debit card replacement, and that they are NOT making exceptions in this case.
They waived the $5 fee for me through online chat just now. And I should be receiving my new BOA business debit card with EMV chip in 5-7 days.
I canceled my checking account with BofA (but kept open my savings) and a few days later they shipped me an ATM card. With EMV!
