Why is everyone here a member of Navy Federal Credit Union?

Just curious. My local credit union was bankruptcy friendly too. Is there something amazing about NFCU that I'm not seeing?

My guess is the high limits they give.

Re: Why is everyone here a member of Navy Federal Credit Union?

I like the interest rates on auto loans and limits on credit cards.  I use my local bank for direct deposit and to pay my credit cards.  I use my Navy Federal savings and checking to upload check from EBates and so forth.  The local federal credit union kinda gets pissed if you go in there and they deposit your money to Navy through a co-op.  They act like they are doing a service and not getting paid.  So just remove yourself from the co-op then.  We have a ton of convenience stores with co-op ATMs to withdraw money from Navy without any fees.  It's not really a problem that there is no Navy branch anywhere close by.  I live on the old air force base in Myrtle Beach, SC so many people who retired and stuck around town have Navy accounts themselves.
