i don't either, i just decided to add more to my IRA today, instead of using it to buy new computer. Its not the most exciting thing in the world but it has to be done.
I guess the biggest thing going for me is, i only owe 130k to the world.
I've been struggleing to get my moms house out of forclosure for a few years. So I drained everything I had, I'm actually glad I didn't have credit cards at the time. I would have gotten myself into nice mess now had it been that easy. And since I have cleared her past debts I can finally focus on me now.

My financial advisor and I playfully argue because I keep more in cash than my FA wishes. Oh well, I sleep better.
32, married, rent, 7 dollars in a savings account, 0 in my checking account, 0 money for retirement and about (as of now) only 210 in the hole right now that needs to be paid. (better than 6 months ago when we were 1200 or so in the hole!)
Garnishments and Child Support really kill your payroll
(Amazing its lasted this long, I only end up with about 1100 a month in take home money and our rent is 810, just have to hold out for tax returns to set ourselves straight with everything)
Not enough.
39 years old, married, 2 young kids (5 & 1). 2.5 years post Chapter 7 BK.
Income in the very low 40K range, plus minimal income from side business.
Checking account is kept pretty empty. Just a minimum of $100 to keep any "oops" from happening. We buy everything with rewards CCs and pay them off each payday.
Regular Savings currently around $2500, plus the kids each have their own small accounts. (earlier savings got eaten with 2008 crash long term unemployment... leading to BK).
Retirement: Have just under 5K in a company sponsored Simple IRA and $1700, currently in transfer from husband's 401a to a NFCU IRA.
Only one small share secured loan at the moment (for credit mix purposes), but looking at a VA loan late next spring.
