120+ days reporting

can a CO account that has been closed, sold to CA and then PIF'd (to the CA) still be reported 120+ days late from the OC? if not, how do i tackle this? i've disputed and it came back verified.

Re: 120+ days reporting

i think that's correct, because at one point, you were in fact 120+ days late.  that's how i understand it.

Re: 120+ days reporting

The CA can report the worst delinquency on the account.

Re: 120+ days reporting

Do I write/call the OC and notify them of the wrong status?

CRe: 120+ days reporting

Your credit file contains numerous reporting fileds for recording both the current status of an account, and prior payment delinquencies.

The only issue is, whether prior to the CO, the account reached 120+ days late.  If it ever did, then the reporting is accurate.  Reporting a CO is an additional derog on top of any prior delinquencies that occured before the CO.  The same for a CA.

Re: 120+ days reporting

The OC and a CA is both reporting correct? I would suggest to send a GW letter to the CA, to ask if they would kindly delete.

If the CA agrees to delete, you may see a score jump, it depends on how old the debt was. Good Luck to You.Smiley Wink
