2 accounts from Midland

I am sooooo furious with Midland right now.  I just pulled my EX report and 2 NEW Midland accounts have been added to my EX CR after my BK with a balance showing 1700 bucks.  I tried to call, but they are closed...Its NOT on any other report as of now.  How can that be possible?  It never showed up until now.  and my Ch 7 BK was discharged back in Mid FEB

Re: 2 accounts from Midland

The full report shows that this account was opened with them back in 2009 and 2010 and will come off my report ins 2015...They are from GE bank and HSBC....How can they show a balance after all this time PAST my BK, when this should have been whiped out by my CH 7 BK...This is the FIRST time I have seen this show up on my CR...

Should I do an online dispute? and put it as IIB?  Mind you, nobody HAS called me or anything from this agency!

Re: 2 accounts from Midland

If those accounts were IIB they cannot report them. Collection activity violates the BK stay.  And they are reporting a balance.

I would send them copies of your BK showing they are included and tell them if they don't remove them you will sue them.

Re: 2 accounts from Midland

Thank You!  I am going to call tomorrow and let them know what they are doing is wrong...They can't NOT report the entire time and just magically report now...and on top of that a freakin balance...It should have been IIB as the accounts were open in 09 and 10

Re: 2 accounts from Midland

look over your BK and make SURE you included those accounts in the BK.

if it was, it should be easy to remove them. just file a dispute with CRA and also send the CA a copy of the BK.

If you file a no assest BK you don't need to list all accounts.  All debt is included in a no assest BK.

Me too! I just had 2 new collection accounts from Midland show up yesterday on EX, today on EQ. I'm sure they will be on TU in a few days. My BK was DC'd 11/2012. I spent most of the day on the phone, continuously getting transferred from CSR to nowhere. I faxed a letter to two different numbers I found, and mailed CMRR the same letter today. I also disputed with EQ and EX. Hope you have better luck talking to someone. Can't find a good contact anywhere.
