Best 2 IMHO
BofA and SFDCU
BofA will graduate SFDCU won't
BofA will require a HP SFDCU won't SP
Do you have to be a member os sdfcu to get a card?
Cap 1 - I started when I was 18 with a Secured Cap 1, no credit and now I've moved up and have a score of 727 it's been only 2 years. IMO thats pretty good being only 20. I then explored other options and such, I now have an AMEX GOLD, Wells Fargo - $2,500, Discover It - $3,000, SEC Cap 1 - $800. Good luck!
BofA is good if you don't have too many baddies on your CR (chargeoffs and collections) but they will decline you if they feel they can't graduate you in a reasonable timeframe. I went with US Bank. They didn't seem to care about the myriad of baddies I had but they will not auto graduate you to unsecured and they have a very stingy policy toward CLI (eligible after 6 months, then every 3 months after each additional deposit).
It really depends on your current credit score and what's on your report. We could give you a better idea if you were able to share a little more information.
Please do not double post on multiple forums
Thanks MJ

If you go the BofA route, just remember that you can add rewards to it. Just call and ask.
I'd go the Harley Davidson card from USbank, graduates, has rewards program and no annual fee.
DCU is another good option, if you have a checking account you get a free FICO score as well.
Might be worth applying for discover it, some people are reporting they are getting targetted for a secured card.
If you are eligible for Navy Federal, I would try them. They also do not report as secured on report.
Wells Fargo is decent (I guess), they graduate in 12 months (they say), but also do report as secured on credit report!
