In mid-Feburary I found this forum and started reading, a lot. 60 days, a lot of money to pay down debt, and one GW letter letter later... I shot from a 680 FICO8 to a 802. I'm buying a very nice house now thanks to this place and the people here! Thank you!!!
Wow. Congrats. Very cool.

I'm curious, too! Was it mostly from the pay down of debt and better utilization numbers?
Way to go! I can only dream of topping 800. I seem to be stuck at 680, despite having really good utilization numbers. A paid tax lien and one 6 year old collection for $230 are weighing me down. But thanks to the advice of this forum, I'm going to work on getting that tax lien removed from the reports. Maybe then I'll shoot up to the mid 700's!
Wow! Congrats! A 122 point increase is very very nice!
Nice work and congratulations on taking that score from a low "good" to a solid "excellent" in such a short time!
Can you share with us exactly what you did in that time? I know you said you paid down some debt but can you be more specific and throw us some numbers like change in debt, utilization, etc. Also what did the GW letter accomplish for you, that is what exactly was removed? We appreciate your feedback!
