7 Years Up and still reporting

Hello,

I have an old capital one credit card from college with a balance of only $160. I considered simply paying this off last year, however, since it was old, I decided against it. The original reporting date is : 08/01/2007. Now that 7 years it up, how do I get it removed?

Dispute it as being too old to report.

Re: 7 Years Up and still reporting

Is the 8/1/2007 date the date it first reported or the DOFD?  It will report for 7 years from the DOFD.

Correct, but the CRA's usually delete at the 7 year mark.

True but one could not dispute it as too old to report unless it had run the full 7.5 years mark.
