Wow so sorry that they were not willing to reason with you , it seeks very cut and dry that this is one of two things either ID theft or you are just somehow mixed up with a customer that has a similar name . Which I'm leaning more towards the second .
I would go ahead and do what you need to do to get rid of it. It's a shame they can't see that this is clearly not you esp. Being the fact that they have little to no info that even matches your ID . And better yet do they just allow anyone to open accounts with them.without even providing basic info like bday ...something seems very off to me about this.
I might even file.a complaint with the BBB if it were me or FTC idk but it just doesn't seem right that they pin thus debt on you without any proof that it's YOU!
This is kind of why I'm so confused.
Could Robert or Norman give me some direction here?
Can someone tell me what exactly I need to ask the PD for? I've been told ID Theft Affidavit and Police report, and these aren't the same thing.
Here is a link which you may find useful, I am sure when you talk to the police department they will how to handle this situation. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiVkryy7JvOAhXH54MKHXLYAKQQFggcMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.consumer.ftc.gov%2Farticles%2Fpdf-0094-identity-theft-affidavit.pdf&usg=AFQjCNE9vMAJdGumMPy9qhkQOYsVSC9ZaA&sig2=YGm1Ci3_aF2NjPiDjkCPyw&bvm=bv.128617741,d.amc
