+1, now you have it under your belt. She won't know what to do with herself if she's ever in your position. You've got the experience to get through this and go into damage prevention mode should it happen again. If anything just look at her card as motivation for you in a while.

You all are absolutely right. I've learned more about finances and credit in the last 3 years than I've ever known...for her sake, I hope she never needs damage control. A couple minutes of retail pleasure can lead to what seems like a lifetime of financial ruin. Oh well, the storm is over now....For now, I guess I'll just slip my secured credit card under my pillow and wish for the credit card fairy to visit me soon enough. ![]()
