A little jealous rant…

So while in a meeting at work, I happened to look across the table at one of my coworkers and there it was. Her shiny blue Chase Sapphire was lying on the table in front of her! Just staring at me. How could she tease me that way? Why was it even there?? She didn't even notice me salivating over her card. If only I weren't working my way back from credit issues...It'll be at least 3-4 long years before I'd even dream of putting my name on a Chase Bank application For a moment, I was so overwhelmed with jealousy. She's so much younger than I am so I couldn't help but think of all the years I spent messing up. I learned the hard way how important credit really is. As I get older, paying for the mistakes of my younger years can be somewhat depressing. Oh Chase, I'm such a goodie two shoes now...why won't you show me some love?

Re: A little jealous rant…

Don't be jealous. Think of the whole ordeal as a journey, an experience, an obstacle that you're over coming which will give you a sense of accomplishment. Think of the future of all those who will benefit from what you've learned and the money management skills you've picked up which will help you when you retire. =) lol at least that's what I tell myself so I can sleep at night =p.
On my phone apologies for the errors.

+1, now you have it under your belt. She won't know what to do with herself if she's ever in your position. You've got the experience to get through this and go into damage prevention mode should it happen again. If anything just look at her card as motivation for you in a while.

Let's just hope she isn't screwing up like we did.  Let's hope she is pampering her nice lil Saphire card and treating it well LOL ;-)

Re: A little jealous rant…

You all are absolutely right. I've learned more about finances and credit in the last 3 years than I've ever known...for her sake, I hope she never needs damage control.  A couple minutes of retail pleasure can lead to what seems like a lifetime of financial ruin.  Oh well, the storm is over now....For now, I guess I'll just slip my secured credit card under my pillow and wish for the credit card fairy to visit me soon enough. :smileytongue:

Re: A little jealous rant…

GE small? I'm thrilled with my little Cap1 unsecured!! Thought I'd be in debit card land for another 3-4 yrs. No Chase Sapphire dreams yet, but Walmart does float in and out.
