Great... however, if unpaid, the debt is still lingering out there.
If passed to a new debt collector, a new collection may reappear.
Then the process starts anew. Hopefully, that won't occur.
Be on the lookout for credit inquiries by a new debt collector, which will give warning of their sniffing and potential reporting.
If you become aware of a new debt collector, such as by an inquiry or a call to you prior to any reporting, try to get their address.
You can then send an immediate DV, thus blocking any reporting until they have provided debt verification.

I can confirm that it is gone from my EX and TU reports. It's still on my EQ report though but I here that takes a bit more time to remove.
