AMEX - 120+ days late

Here is the snippet from a mistake I made back when I was in school. What's the 7yrs rule, what can I do to remove it quicker?

Try sending them a GW letter. They might remove it.

Would removing affect the age of the a/c? Does it stop affecting exactly after 7 yrs?

Removing it could lower your AAoA and your FICO score. YMMV based on what is reporting outside of that. IMO, I think the damage of the 120 and CO reference is greater than the damage of losing the TL. I'd try to get it removed.

At 7 yrs from DOFD, the damage would be removed, by either the CRA deleting the account or removing the baddie references.

Like ConcordUser mentioned, try sending GWs.
