I used a PFD sample template from this page and the CA responded: "This letter will serve as confirmation that American Coradius International LLC, is willing to accept $XXX to settle the above referenced account. Upon clearance of your payment, we will notify our client so they can update their records accordingly."
I am confused on the last part about notifying client. I stated clearly in my letter that I would offer $XXX as settlement for the debt in return for removing all information from credit reporting agencies within 10 days of payement however the response seems to only acknowledge the settlement but not the deleting. Any suggestions for what my next course of action should be?
I'm sorry but i am no help. I am curious to see what others have to say.
is the CA the one reporting the debt? or the OC?
also you have to keep in mind that these are just generic responses
I'm interested to see what others say too. Can they get away with a "genetic" repsonse? Is it good enuf and can you trust it? But as the previous person said...depends on who is reporting the TL...OC or CA? if its the CA reporting but saying theyd contact the OC...i would send another letter stating theyre response was NOT clear...you want to make sure you get EXACTLY what theyre doing in writing.
The CA is the one reporting the debt so the generic response theory looks to be the best bet here. I like the idea of sending another letter letting them know their response was not clear enough. Any sample templates you guys recommend for a follow up letter?
Not acceptable for a PFD. Sounds like the debt is only assigned. Who is posting to your report?
