Has anyone had luck with GW letters with Access Group? Payments are now being made through ACS. Do GW letters need to go to Access Group or ACS? Thanks in advance!
I am in the same boat you are. Even though ACS is servicing now, Access group is still reporting for the period up until ACS took over (february for me), so if you have lates with Access Group from when they were the servicer, they're the only ones who can change how lates are reported.
A few weeks back, I tried sending a GW letter in the mail to Access Group's HQ in Wilmington, DE. Got no response. So, I took an educated guess at what the e-mail address of the president might be, and I sent my GW request via e-mail. Several days later, I got a very professional, personal response from the president; unfortunately, it was denying my GW request. If you do a search for "access group" on these boards, I'm sure you'll find my whole story.
I wish I had better news for you. I think you should still give it a shot (I'm certainly going to try again in a month or two, talking to someone else). If your lates are old (my most recent one was under a year ago) or not serious (my worst lates were 120+), maybe you'll have better luck than I did.
Thanks for the response LionLaw. I sent Access Group a GW at the beginning of the month but I haven't heard anything back yet. I just sent another letter again yesterday and tried sending one to ACS as well. Maybe they will give me a contact at Access Group. I'm trying to get rid of 2 30 day lates from July 2010. I'll let you know if I have any success.
