Account report as "included in bankruptcy" . Never in bankruptcy

I have an old verizon wireless collection negative on my report that is showing a "included in bankruptcy" but I was never in bankruptcy but my father was and we share the same name. I will be disputing the status but should i also expect my score to increase once the account is changed to paid instead of bankruptcy?

Depends, is this your account? Or your fathers.

I assume it was a charge off at any rate, so if yours it will be updating to paid charge off with a current date likely hurting your scores further for a bit. (always hurts but hurts more the newer it is)

If it was your father's and included in BK it should be removed all together and you will see a nice bump in scores.
