Adding AU with collections reporting??

So my main question would be adding an authorized user for example to my discover card. If they have medical collections reporting could the collectors try to collect from me or even discover? I know that an authorized users score couldn't do anything to mine. Probably a rather dumb question but any answers much appreciated! And does discover backdate for an AU since the account was opened?

Re: Adding AU with collections reporting??

If the other party becomes an AU, then the account will become visible to others who pull their credit report.

It is possible that a debt collector could send you a dunning notice, trolling for a sucker, but since the AU would not be accociated with any collection by them, there is no logical reason for any such action.  It is highly doubtful and could be addressed by a DV, but not impossible.
