In an article at http://www.investopedia.com/articles/pf/07/credit-rebuilding.asp?partner=msnmoney they talk about how you can actually add your own comments to your credit report that lenders can see.. IF this is true then it would be very helpful to others who want to add comments regarding a particular account on their report.. Its worth a shot! Has anybody tried this before? Basically, its almost like a small section where you get to tell "your side" of your credit report.. Kinda cool

Don't do it. You would be calling attention to a negative situation, that may or may not be an issue with a creditor to begin with. If a creditor asks about something verbally, such as in a recon call, fine, explain. But don't blindly put more info than may be necessary on your report. Could come back and bite you, and I understand these types of comments are nearly impossible to remove.
