I recently received 2 initial collection notices from Midland funding. One for prior Credit One Credit Card for the amount of 12xx and Amazon Store Card of 9xx.
In the collection notice on one it says if I pay in full or make payment arrangements by the end of January they will not report to credit bureaus. In the other I have until early February. I will have some money around that time, but mostly just to try to settle for a lower amount than I owe.
Does anyone have any advice regarding settling with Midland? Are they usually difficult to settle with for between 40-50%? Also, will settling for a lower amount mess up the "will not report to credit bureau" part?
