The last collection is confusing to me.
All of the collections have a 24 month payment history in red also.
She also has 2 Paid collections which I am not worried about right now. I will GW those later.
She also has a CC from USAA with a $1000 CL.
Just looking for some advice. The highest balance collection is out of California SOL, The rest are still within the SOL.
Advice would vary depending upon the individual circumstances of each debt, and upon what the creditor or debt collector is contemplating as their next step.
Does she concede the legitimacy of each debt? If not, has she sent a DV for validation?
If a DV was sent, was the DV timely, and thus is the debt collector now under a cease collection bar, thus putting in limbo any negotiateions with them?
Unpaid collections that are still within SOL, of course, always run the risk of legal action on their part to get a judgmenr fo the full amount.
You can offer a settlement for less or payment in exchange for CR deletion. They may go for it, or may wish to pursue the entire debt without any concesssions on their part.
Thus, it is prudent to have a backup plan when offering less than a full PIF in the event they decide to pursue the full debt via a judgment.
If they initiate legal action, you can pay in full before trial, and avoid a judgment.
For debts now beyond SOL, you have the flexibility of negotiation, and can take time to pursue a settlement for less or a PFD.
The only one she does not agree with is the collection for $1900, She sold her car and it ended up getting towed and they sent the collection to her. All this stuff is before we got married so I am just trying to fix it lol.

Probably means the person that bought it never registered it so it is the last registered owner they go after.
Most states require you report a sold vehicle and she might not have done that either.
Same thing happened to me.
