Its not going to signifigantly increase your score by paying it. Whether you should take the settlement is your decision, you have to weigh the pros and cons, I.E., how much would you save, could they sue you for it if you don't, how quickly do you want/need to get scores up, do you need it paid to clear underwriting, and so on.

Just be aware that any notation of "settled" is scored the same as a charge off.
Of they wont do a PFD and you want to offer a settlement for less, maje your offer contingent upon their agreement not to report paid or settled for less to the CRA.
It will them look the same to anyone reviewing your CR as if it had been paid in full.
