After sending GW letters, do you normally hear a response?

Do they only tell you if your GW letter is "successful," or will they tell you if it's denied also? How long does it take before you normally hear back, if at all?

Have my next batch of letters in hand (to different addresses), just want to know when/if to send them.

Re: After sending GW letters, do you normally hear a response?

It all really depends on the CA.  I've had some that responded by writing back, and some just simply updated my reports.

What I usually do is wait about two weeks and if I don't see nothing in the mail or if I don't see a change on my credit files I send another batch of GW letters.  But as of lately i've been sending weekly GW's, because i'm just desperate for quick changes.

Good luck

Re: After sending GW letters, do you normally hear a response?

I'm just paranoid of sending the letters to different addresses too soon. Like, what if by the time it gets there, the baddie is already removed. The guy who reads the letter goes to remove it, sees that it's already been removed, and re-reports it or something. I know, probably wouldn't happen...

Maybe I'll just go ahead and send the other ones out today.

Re: After sending GW letters, do you normally hear a response?

Discover responded with a yes and they were promptly removed, Victorias Secret repeatedly responded no, Cap 1 sent multiple no letters and then suddenly DELETED! Smiley Happy, FIACSNA responded rudely no several times, still harrassing them, HSBC no response, no delete, GEMB GAP sent really nice note saying yes and removed, GEMB American Eagle sent a heck no and then one of the letters must have worked and they deleted!! I have yet to crack FIACSNA or HSBC, but I am GW'ing them until they give in! I signed up with National City to check my reports and that's usually the only way I know a GW has worked.
