Amend Financial LLC? LEGALITIES?

 recently recieved a letter of demand from a CA from Pheonix named Amend Finacial LLC  saying they have been assigned the account from PUNHILL II LLC from  original creditor Washington Mutual which i guessing is a foreclosure in Feb 2004, they say they want the 7,000.00 dollars paid or "they will report to all the CRA  reflecting negative credit report and if i fail to contact them within 30 days they will utilize all the available alternatives entiled to them to recover this deliquency

DV them as you would any other collection agency.  Also check your state resources and see if they must be and if so ARE licensed in your state.  The foreclosure has already done damage to your credit report and while yes the insertion of a collection account would do some more.. Make sure you follow the correct steps from the onset of the process.
