Amex GW Success??

Just wondering if anyone has had GW success with Amex recently.  I have one 30-day late showing with them from two years ago that I would love to see removed.  I know after two years the impact on my score is very minimal, but would still like to see if go away.  I called the Amex Credit Reporting Department and was told that if the late was within the last year that they might have been able to do something, but was told that they can not remove anything beyond a year.  I have a hard time belieiving this....  I have a letter ready to send off, figuring that it cannot hurt to try that angle.  Just wondering if anyone has had seccuss with them recently?  Also, any suggest postal address other than what is shown on the credit reports?

I had success with them last year. I explained the situation (job change and physical move) and was to GW the Charge Off.  At the time I had 4 positive TL's and 1 derog (Settled, Charge Off).  That's 5 total AMEX TL's and my relationship with them goes back to 1981, so YMMV.  I sent the letter to the address on the CR and then followed up with a call to the Corp Office.
