I need some help on how to deal with an old CA that just emerged. Im not sure how all of a sudden after almost 7yrs a CA just called me and sd that I owed money to BOA and they're now requesting to be paid in full. The full amount is $209 total ($64 original balance and the difference is fees assessed by BOA at the time the account was C/O back in 01/03/07) I asked the CA to provide proof of such debt since I do not recall leaving a blnce on such fncl institution and all I got is an e-mail stating accnt blnc and an attachment showing BOA selling my account to another CA (Somehow this CA obtained this letter from I believe to be the previous CA when they re-purchased this debt) .....Please correct me if I'm wrong by doing as follows:
1) I Plan to mail out a DV letter via Certfd Mail.
